Communication is not only one of the biggest determiners for developing personal influence, it is also one of the greatest limiting factors for many teams and organizations. This is not always because there isn’t enough communication, but often because we’re simply not very good at it. There is a lot more to communication than just the content of your message. Some psychologists believe the words you say may account for less than ten percent of the impact of messaging. From body language and facial expressions to tone and voice inflection, there are many other contributors that will determine your communication effectiveness. Learning how to incorporate these strategies will allow you to connect with team members, clients, and vendors at a deeper level. You will also gain an understanding of how to read these cues in others and more accurately interpret what they are trying to communicate to you. If you want to increase your personal influence and help your team members to do the same, this presentation will equip you to do both.

Learning Objectives:

Utilize non-linguistic tools to become more influential in all your interpersonal relationships both personally and professionally.

Learn what to be aware of and alert to as you read other people’s non-verbal communication.

Discover how you may be sending non-verbal messages that confuse or contradict the message you’re trying to send.

Realize that you’re sending messages about your professionalism through your workspace, organization, and efficiency.
